CDSS Collaboration with Tribal TANF Programs
These consultation guidelines are a product of the efforts of the Tribal TANF Administrators and the California Department of Social Services (CDSS). They were undertaken to formalize and make tangible our mutual commitment to foster collaboration and consensus in Tribal TANF policy decision making. Consultation with Tribal TANF programs on issues that impact them is an integral element of the government-to-government relationship. These guidelines recognize this special and unique relationship.The Consultation Guidelines were voted on and adopted unanimously at the Tribal TANF administrators meeting on July 10. 2007.
